Job description
We are looking for an energetic, intuitive IT Project Manager that will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of information technology projects, including defining project goals, creating detailed schedules, managing budgets, assigning tasks to team members, and ensuring successful project completion within established timelines and parameters, often collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs; requiring strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Initiation:
Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, identifying stakeholders, and creating a detailed project plan.
Resource Management:
Assembling and managing project teams, assigning tasks, and monitoring individual performance.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Developing project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying potential cost overruns.
Risk Management:
Identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing issues.
Schedule Management:
Creating project timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring timely project completion.
Communication Management:
Facilitating clear communication between project team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
Technical Oversight:
Ensuring the technical feasibility of project solutions and adhering to established standards.
Quality Control:
Implementing quality assurance measures to ensure project deliverables meet requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
Managing expectations and addressing concerns from various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Post-project Evaluation:
Reviewing project performance, identifying lessons learned, and documenting best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Degree:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), or a related field.
Additional Preferred Education:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Project Management Methodologies:
Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or other relevant project management approaches.
Technical Expertise:
Understanding of relevant IT technologies, such as software development, networking, databases, and cloud computing.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to motivate and guide project teams towards project goals.
Problem-solving Skills:
Identifying and resolving complex technical and project-related issues.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Negotiation Skills:
Negotiating with vendors, stakeholders, and team members to reach agreements.
Knowledge of IT Industry:
IT architecture:
Understand the technical architecture of the company's IT systems.
Networking:
Understand how to set up networks and troubleshoot issues
Software Development:
Understand the SDLC and how to manage projects through it
Coding:
While not required, ability to code can be an advantage to applicants.
Risk Management:
