This policy governs the use of JumPedal’s websites, products, whitepapers, and associated digital assets by artificial intelligence (AI) systems, including but not limited to crawlers, bots, scrapers, large language models (LLMs), and dataset aggregators.

It is designed to protect JumPedal’s intellectual property, research integrity, and customer trust while enabling fair, limited use of our content for inference.

2. Definitions

  • Content – All text, images, videos, documents, code, datasets, and media hosted under the jumpedal.com domain or associated subdomains.
  • AI System – Any machine learning model, crawler, LLM, or automated process accessing or ingesting Content.
  • Inference – Real-time or cached use of Content for answering questions, generating summaries, or powering contextual responses.
  • Training – Use of Content to create, fine-tune, augment, or expand datasets for developing or modifying AI models.
  • Dataset Aggregation – Bulk or systematic collection of Content for storage, resale, redistribution, or commercial AI pipelines.

3. Permitted Uses

AI systems may:

  1. Access and summarize explicitly designated URLs listed in llms.txt or our sitemap.
  2. Use Content in real-time inference to answer direct user queries about JumPedal.
  3. Cache Content for up to 30 days solely to improve inference performance.
  4. Quote small excerpts (≤160 characters) with attribution and a clickable link to the original JumPedal page.

4. Prohibited Uses

AI systems must not:

  1. Use Content for training, fine-tuning, or embedding model weights.
  2. Perform bulk scraping or dataset aggregation beyond explicitly listed URLs.
  3. Redistribute, resell, or license JumPedal Content within commercial datasets.
  4. Store or retain Content beyond 30 days unless explicitly licensed.
  5. Access private or sensitive areas (e.g., /admin/, /api/, /account/, /checkout/, /private/, /hub/).
  6. Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or security measures.

5. Technical Controls

  • AI systems must respect robots.txt, llms.txt, HTTP headers, and standard rate limits.
  • Rate of access must not exceed 1 request per second (with bursts ≤5).
  • Any 401/403/429 response must be treated as a denial of consent.

6. Attribution Requirements

Where JumPedal Content is used in AI-generated outputs:

  • The source must be cited as “JumPedal” with a clickable URL to the specific page.
  • Direct quotations must use quotation marks and not exceed 160 characters.

Violations of this policy constitute unauthorized use of JumPedal intellectual property.
We reserve the right to:

  • Block offending IPs and user-agents.
  • Pursue legal remedies, including DMCA takedowns and contractual claims.
  • Invoice for unlicensed training or dataset use at industry-standard rates.

8. Licensing & Exceptions

Commercial or research entities seeking broader access (e.g., for training partnerships, long-term caching, or dataset integration) must obtain a written license from JumPedal by contacting: [email protected].

9. Policy Updates

JumPedal may revise this policy at any time. Updates will be reflected at:
https://www.jumpedal.com/ai-policy/

The Effective Date will be updated accordingly. Continued use of our Content by AI systems after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
